Review of Home Room (2002) by Luis M — 16 Aug 2008
Although this movie is about a school shooting, it studies the aftermath through the eyes of two seemingly different survivors of the shooting. It surely is not what one expects. It's more about the secret lives we lead and the hidden desires to be freed of our pain.
I will not bother commenting on the performances or the direction -both are equally great. The soundtrack is something worth mentioning, the screenplay, too. It's a pure, clear, tragic, wonderful film.
It investigates so many matters that you forget it all began with a school shooting.
