Review of Home on the Range (2004) by Robert T — 23 Dec 2007
A surprising well done animation from the House of Mouse! After strings of classic hits from Disney during the early and mid-90s, I thought Disney was going downhill with its mediocre offerings such as Lilo & Stich, but this film proven me wrong.
Though I have to agree with most of the reviewers, it seems Disney has lost its "magic" touch, the story and plot of this film was interesting, though a little cheap, but it was still fun to watch.
The character development, especially from the three cows, were well done, but some like the rabbit character was a little random. For the film that was just 76 minutes long, Disney could at least made the film a little longer, like 10 minutes longer would do.
The visuals and animation for this film was different, and it has its own style, which was neat. Not all Disney films need to look the same. The music was a little different from past Disney films, though it was written by the same guy who did other Disney films during the 90s, some of the musical scores and sequences weren't really memorable, though they were catchy.
Overall, an interesting film, and a closure to Disney's traditional animation.
