The story follows a group of American soldiers as they come home from Iraq to Spokane, Wash., where they try to return to their normal lives in a nation that seems indifferent to their traumatic experience.

Samuel Jackson and Jessica Biel turn in fine performances as veterans exhibiting honest behavior and heartfelt emotions. This Irwin Winkler directed film accurately points out, in an entertaining way, what the Iraq war is doing to fighting American soldiers and how the negative effects of an appalling event continue long after it occurs.
