Review of Home Movie (2001) by Andi D — 16 Jan 2008
Loved loved loved it. Great little documentary about oddball people living in unusual homes and living very eccentric lives. The film making wasn't all that great, I feel like I could've gone in and shot this film, but it doesn't matter because the people are so intriguing, they make it completely worthwhile.
I can totally relate to these people and their quests, yet I wouldn't want to live in any of their houses, they all seem so isolated from the rest of the world... except for the guy in Louisiana, I loved him and his Cajun accent.
He was probably my favorite, I found him to be the most real and sentimental of the bunch. Some people, particularly the cat people, I found to be pathetic, but hey, to each their own. If they want to turn their house into cat playhouse that they never leave, I say let them be.
