Review of Home Alone 4 (2002) by Rohan H — 31 Jan 2012
It's bad enough that it's low budget junk, but they really had to screw the pooch with actually using the original character names Kevin McCallister (and even his family with Buzz, etc.) and Marv.
You're really asking for a fuck up when you place it as a sequel that follows after the first 2 Home Alone films. Anyways, the traps are cheesy and quite weak, and French Stewart is just atrociously laughable as Marv, seriously who can live up to what Joe Pesci did in that role? What a joke! And this new Kevin McCallister is a very childish uninteresting twirp, Macualey Culkin in the same role was a very young age too but quite mature and intelligent, this new kid is just a bore! The whole film is just a tiring bore that is predictable and unrewarding, a waste of time in the end.
