Review of Home Alone 3 (1997) by Whatsit T — 21 Dec 2009
Meh...
I loved the first Home Alone movie. It was entertaining, witty, and the perfect Christmas gift for the whole family, like I said in my Home Alone review. The second Home Alone movie, I haven't seen it yet, but looks as good as the first one. However, Home Alone 3 didn't do so good.
This threequel (as I'd like to call third sequels) is about a nine-year-old boy by the name of Alex Pruitt who has to stay home, and alone, because he has got the chicken pox. He has a hell of a time fending off thieves who steal a $10,000,000 micro-chip to support a North Korean terrorist.
Here are reasons why I didn't give this sucker a good score. It mainly didn't follow the same tradition as the first two Home Alone movies. Instead of Kevin McCallister, they used Alex Pruitt. And where the hell have Marv and Harry known as the Wet Bandits gone? Another reason is because it uses the same plot as the original. The second movie, on the other hand, had a different plot.
This movie did very poorly, but at least it's better than Home Alone 4.
Final Score: 40/100 (Poor).
