Review of Home Alone 3 (1997) by John A — 10 Dec 2013
Same Formula, New Cast, More Villains. Writer John Hughes Comes Up With What Should Have Been The Final Home Alone Film. Alex D. Linz Stars As Alex Pruitt, Who Is At Home, Due To Illness. His Mum & Dad Work All Day & With His Siblings At School, He Is Home Alone.
This Time The Plot Focuses On International Smugglers, As They Have Stole An U.S. Navy Missile Chip & Plan To Sell It To The Highest Bidder. A Mix Up With The Bags In The Airport However Has Them Losing The Stolen Goods. So They Decide To Track It Down & Get It Back, While On Their Hunt Through The Houses Of Alex's Neighbourhood, He Sets Up Booby Traps To Catch The Criminals Red-Handed, When They Decide That His House Is Next.
Different Plot, Same Formula. What You Get Is Hilarious Results (Sometimes Funnier Than It's Predecessors), But Now It Starts To Get Too Unbelievable & With The Very Little Acting Talent On Show The Film Quickly Begins To Become Boring As It Starts Out Promising. But It Manages To Stabilize Itself Around The Average Mark & Sits Nicely Their. The Final Home Alone Film In My Eyes, This Was Followed By 2 TV-Movie Sequels, "Taking Back The House" (2002) & "The Holiday Heist" (2012).
