Review of Home Alone 3 (1997) by Sasho M — 09 Aug 2013
The first two Home Alone films were great little classics and fun to watch, but then after Culkin left the series it went downhill with this one. This time around it's directed by Raja Gosnell who gave us awful films like Scooby Doo, the horrible remake of Yours Mine & Ours and... good lord, The Smurfs.
The first two focused on violence for the slapstick stuff but in this it's all the stuff you'll see in cartoons. Couldn't these people think of anything new for slapstick?
What's even worse about it is it's written by John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation), the script is downright terrible but then again John Hughes was getting worse at making movies.
Also on the cover a very stupid critic says "It's better then the first two!", actually it isn't.
If you wanna watch the Home Alone movies please stay away from this stinker and the fourth film and just watch the first two.
