Review of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) by Conner R — 24 Dec 2010
Just as good as the first and perhaps more devious. This is a revenge story for Harry and Marv, who are out for blood. However, it is just as much about Kevin honing his identity theft skills and voice manipulation con man devices.
Macaulay Culkin has a number of tricks up his sleeves, including a rigged out trap house that electrocutes its victims and showers them in bricks and tools. Bird Lady, Bell Boys and various New York scum were all great additions to the franchise, especially when they're so over the top and ridiculous.
Sure, it might share a lot of the same lines and plot lines as the original, but how else would you want it?
