Review of Home Alone (1990) by Ryan V — 02 May 2012
Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) is a bratty kid who is accidentally left behind when his family goes on vacation. He's initially elated, but a snooping gang of burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) threaten to ransack his home.
Fortunately, Kevin is able to counter these bungling crooks with a series of improvised traps. This massively successful kids movie was written by the beloved John Hughes and directed by the mediocre Chris Columbus.
It's not exactly a masterpiece, but my childhood affection for it coerces me into giving it a passing grade.
