Home Alone is a film that mixes slapstick and enjoyment into one. Yes this can can be dumb and stupid, but it still had some fun and solid acting in the mix to make it not the best film out there nor the worst film.
Home Alone can keep the kids entertained for 1 hour and 45 min, but it can be a Christmas fun. John Hughes, You'll be miss.
