Review of Home Alone (1990) by Mitchell M — 15 Sep 2016
Like many in my generation, I first saw this as a kid who had a vivid imagination, and as a result saw through the unrealistic aspects and found it a great laugh. When I view it as an adult, I realise it is maybe not as good as I thought, however does not deserve the hate some gave it.
It is true that the plot is pretty ridiculous, but if you forget this, the film is good for the family, as I feel the violence is just comic enough to be suitable for kids. For his age Culkin gave a brilliant performance.
