Review of Home (2015) by Jacob — 13 Jan 2016
Home breaks new ground for Dreamworks with a strong female lead, a message about uniqueness and gorgeous animation. Unfortunately, that is lost amidst the gags, Rihanna songs cutting out any dramatic moments, and typical hip humor that Dreamworks is known for.
Had the film focused more on the girl’s conflict being separated from her mother and the heartfelt message this could’ve been a great film. Instead it’s another passable but forgettable Dreamworks film.
Children will enjoy it and parents might smile but nothing worth remembering.
