Review of Home (2015) by John C — 06 Sep 2015
While it provides the occasional heartfelt moment, Home fails at its' attempts at fun characters, humor, and an interesting story. The jokes portrayed are either cliched or just give up and utilize toilet humor.
While Jim Parsons does an exceptional job in his role, Rihanna, however, should stick to what she is good at, singing. While the animation is wonderful, it is not enough to save the predictable plot, even for a children's movie.
The film distracts itself from being interesting or emotional by giving Rihanna publicity for her music that is played in almost every scene. Overall, Home may be cute, but it is another children's film to look for in the Walmart bins.
