Review of Home (2015) by Glenn M — 08 Jan 2016
Home isn't one of Dreamwork's best movies to date but it was a nice diversion. Off the bat the movie looks great in terms of animation and the voice performances by Jim Parsons and Rihanna were also great.
I really enjoyed the comedic moments that Oh (Jim Parsons) had and I also liked the chemistry him and Tip (Rihanna) had on screen. A few things that let this movie down were certain sequences being substituted for placement of Rihanna's songs and don't get me wrong they were good songs, but you want to be watching the actual movie.
Another thing was the actual plot there was no deeper meaning beyond it and it wasn't all that original. Home is a nice wee animated film to watch for some laughs and feel good moments, but there are far superior Dreamwork films like Shrek for example.
