Review of Holmes & Watson (2018) by Sarah T — 03 Jan 2019
I thought it was hilarious. Stupid humour but really cleverly written. It was a parody of RDJ's sherlock, commentary on silly modern trends, a dash of tasteful political commentary, with a genuine story behind it where the ending was truly unpredictable- and I can usually call the ending of movies in a heartbeat. At times the humour was ingeniously wit.
Why should humour be the same thing for everyone? What is hilarious for one person isn't for another. It's okay, doesn't mean that just because it doesn't suit your sense of humour, it cannot suit anyone else's.
Their comedies are usually stupid humour, have you seen Step brothers, Talladega Nights etc?
If it helps, I'm a 26 yr old woman who enjoys a wide range of movies & TV Shows from the 60s-2000s, has read 1000s of books loses interest in terribly written stories/scripts.
This is easily one of my top 3 favourite movies, considering it to be number 1. My other favourites include Marvel movies, but even they aren't that good in comparison of pure enjoyment & unpredictability.
Anyone who expected high class humour out of these guys had their expectations too high in my humble opinion. I recommend for people to watch it & make up their own minds.
