This film did not show enough respect or understanding of it's source material. Its first mistake was claiming that Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson first met as children. Why make the same mistake as the 1985 Young Sherlock Holmes movie? It wouldn't change the plot much if the movie made them meet as adults like the A Study In Scarlet novel.
