Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Kate T — 04 Feb 2008
"urrrgh' I thought "ben Affleck!really?" and he surprised me! The man I thought that had no soul, actualy manages to well...act. Adrien Brody is as always, the backbone. Subtle, always intriguing and just special enough to hold the film together.
Ben Affleck, and it feels weird to type this, is damn good as George Reeves. He has the 1940's Hollywood 'accent' down, and it must have been hard for him to take similar concindences from George Reeves own career.
Diane Lane, also has the iconage of a 1940's movie star and is fantastic as the spurned lover. One of my all time favourite films!
