Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Burt M — 30 Aug 2008
Besides an outstanding job by Ben Affleck, this film while watchable is a complete wreck. Way too long without much of a point, story is all over the place, and would have been better as a straight bio of Reeves, who's more interesting than the murder mystery that's set up here.
For a period film the sets are drab without flare, and the whole thing felt wooden and awkward. Not recommended.
