Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Gerry C — 04 Feb 2009
One of the better mystery/drama/old crime movies I have seen in a long time. Who killed Superman? Even though it is classified as a murder, no one really knows who did it and the movie is based on all the speculation and possibilities of who actually killed George Reeves with no resolution, very un-hollywood like.
This is a great film, well written, and superbly acted by all the major players. The duality between Brody's character and the person Reeves was nice touch, a true journey into personal identity, corruption, and crime.
Highly recommend this one.
