Review of Hollywoodland (2006) by Marcus B — 19 Aug 2011
Well, if Hollywoodland is to be considered as what it is trying to give impression of, namely another contribution to film noir genre, then it really sucks. It is slow, with uninteresting plot and ultimately pointless ending.
However, if seen as a character study with a pretty decent cast, it becomes much more interesting. Adjust your expectations (this is not a new L.A. Confidential or China Town) and you may find it to your liking.
