Review of Hollywood Homicide (2003) by Core O — 06 Jan 2009
The MOST underrated buddy cop movie since Tango and Cash. And yes I mean that as a compliment. Josh Hartnett has incredible comic timing and "acts poorly" when called on to and Harrison Ford actually seems to give a crap, which is extraordinarily rare these days.
The characters go beyond "grizzled cop and hotshot rookie," which is another difficult thing to accomplish, just try watching ANY cop show or movie made in the last ten years. It's practically a documentary on LA and the fact that the two COPS have other jobs (real estate agent and actor) is easily the funniest part of the movie.
Overall, I don't understand why this movie isn't more well thought of and why it didn't spin off into a thousand sequels.
