Let me say right up front: if you're eagerly anticipating the violence level of previous Verhoeven films (Robocop, Total Recall, Starship Troopers), you are in for a huge disappointment! Not only that, the story isn't very exciting or thrilling either.

That said, the special effects are absolutely amazing to witness, particularly the gorilla reappearing from its invisible state!
