Review of Hollow Man (2000) by Adam A — 07 Oct 2010
The Special Effects reminded me of Terminator 2 but..the film it's self wasn't as memorable as T2.
The story was..somewhat Cleache,Man pushed to far on science experiment and it goes horribly wrong, and the 'horror' effects in it where lame(I Honestly wasn't scared by the film once.).
The acting Just SUX too. Like it's disapointing to see this and it was like watching...bad actors play BAD charecters. Like sometimes the charecters can be interesting enough that you will say "Yeah..the actor sux. BUT the charecter is an interesting one." Not this film. I watched it and just said to myself "This is just bad." The charecters are so...badly acted that you arn't even interested in the charectors. And the fact that the charecters where never really given any depth just makes it even more boring.
I guess the only thing that makes this film really any good is the CG it IS really GOOD. Like I said it reminded me of T2 watching Kevin Bacons charecter go invisible. All though you couldn't see him the CG made it look kinnda..liquidy and it was interesting to see. Besides that though this film falls WAY short of it's idea and is hampered by too many boring clechias.
