Review of Holidays (2016) by Dan H — 16 Apr 2016
This anthology horror movie, like V/H/S, consisted of several short different films. these unlike the aforementioned movie is seasonally themed. so I decided to watch HOLIDAYS with a runtime of 1hr 45min and the telling of its "Valentine's" and "St Patrick's" storys fell short their marks.
it was quite tragic to sit through as both were the first two segments of this movie of horror shorts. the decision to push on and view the third, "Easter", was difficult. fearing twenty minutes had already been lost to a bleak beginning to two terribly told stories.
I found number 3, to be much the delight, it was a easier egg to crack, pun intended, because the directing was better that included the follow up "Mother's day" the forth; father's day, halloween, christmas and new years were great! they could've choose to start with "easter" instead of the convaluted duds cutting down to an hour and twenty-five minutes.
this would have gave the movie a smoother start and probably nicer ratings among the casual and hardcore horror fan.
