I now am in love. . . with Bing Crosby's voice! I was more transfixed on his singing then the movie. Speaking of which, the film was very fun. It was simple, family like, and just enjoyable! Though the title may be decieving, the main focus is not on the holidays, rather it is on two showmen that always seem to like the same girl.

Ted (Astaire), even went as far as taking Jim's (Crosby), fiance right from under his nose! Somewhat depressed Jim quits the show life and enters the simple life. Farming. Turns out it was way too much for him to handle and wasn't what he'd thought it'd be at all.

He then decides to turn the farmhouse into an Inn. Holiday Inn to be exact. The purpose was for it to only be open fifteen holidays a year, hence the name, so Jim could live comfortably work-free for the rest 350 days.

Meanwhile, a young lady is trying to find her way into show biz when she meets a man that gives her Jim's number and address to the Inn. They fall in love and plan to be married when, of course, Ted show's up drunk, dances a little, and then steals Jim's new girl.

But the love triangle is not over yet. Oh no! Jim realizes the mistakes he's been making and goes after his girl! But seriously it is a really great flick and is so watchable.
