Review of Holiday Inn (1942) by Troy K — 21 Apr 2015
Another silly but essential Christmas classic (though it's more of an all holiday movie), Astaire is as dependable and entertaining as usual, and I actually liked Bing Crosby in a role for once; usually he's a non-entity in terms of screen presence and likability.
It's sort of funny Astaire plays kind of a real asshole. Also has one of the better collection of songs for a musical that I've seen.
