Review of Holiday (1938) by Tim C — 13 Mar 2008
Fresh from the VCR did this review come from. I previously read that Hepburn was bouncier in this film than in Bringing Up Baby, but that is far from the truth. Katharine Hepburn fits into Linda Seton like a perfect size shoe in a foot, and Cary Grant is endearing as John Case, the common man who doesn't know what he is getting into when he gets engaged to Linda's snobby sister.
Watching this fil, I really couldn't believe that at the time, THIS film was the icing on the cake for Hepburn's " box-office poison" label, because it really shows Hepburn in the best light.
Oh, I can't wait to watch this film again!
