Shoes falling from the sky - Destiny?
It's believed there is a curse on the male family members. After being in the wrong place at the wrong time, young Stanley Yelnats the Fourth (Shia LaBeouf), is sent to Camp Green Lake.
The camp is full of mouthy full of themself kids who are forced to dig wholes each day - To which they are unsure about the real reason. But of course Stanley questions it, and why the Warden (Played by Sigourney Weaver - Who actually comes across rather nice when you first meet her) wants to see anything 'interesting' that is found whilst digging.
Stanley and his new campmates need to keep one step ahead of the warden and her henchmen whilst daring to escape and solve the mystery, breaking the Yelnats family curse.
This is a brilliant film. A well told story. I might look into reading the book.
I must say Shia LaBeouf has progressed a huge amount since this film. Such a cutie though.
