Review of Hold the Dark (2018) by William K — 14 Oct 2018
I think this film had potential, but falls short for lack of depth. The setting, shots, costumes, and production are all great, but I really would have liked to learn more about the the Slones' mysterious beliefs and practices.
Of course, had their ways been over-expounded, I would have still been somewhat disappointed as the mysterious and thrilling qualities of the movie give way to the macabre and grotesque.
