Review of Hoffa (1992) by Brian D — 11 Jun 2007
One of Nicholson's finest hours. An absolutely brilliant performance, but Jack wasn't even nominated for a Best Actor Oscar that year! (Pacino took it for 'Scent Of A Woman.' The mind boggles).
DeVito's directing style is unique; his take on Hoffa's disappearance is logical and well-executed (no pun intended). Frank Whaley is badly miscast, though. Good film.
