Review of Hocus Pocus 2 (2022) by Dubeau — 01 Oct 2022

First, I don't remember the Hocus Pocus. It never really leave any impression on me. HP2 is certainly fun to watch but focus on nostalgia in many ways. The story is good but has some dull moments. The actors are average, some better then others.

The action is more of a comedic effect, then action per say. And I think there was too much of that. The FX is just passable, which consist of flying scenes and lightning. The book and cat are the best bits.

I actually like the two musical scenes, because they were brief and modern. And I wish there would have been one or two of them added. Because it was the most dynamic thing in that movie. All the rest didn't generated enough rhythm.

I give it 62%, mainly for the young actors. Not a great film but entertaining to a certain degree.
