If there's one thing that Disney knows, it's how to entertain children. Sadly, as a thirty something year old gay man, most of Hocus Pocus's humor was lost on me. In fact, my age only helped to recognize the creepy sex jokes throughout the movie, as well as numerous instances of characters challenging the protagonist's masculinity.
Nevertheless, Bette Midler is over the top, which counts for something, I guess. Hope your children enjoy this more than I did!
