Review of Hobo with a Shotgun (2011) by Coalton R — 28 Feb 2012
Possibly the most blunt movie I've ever seen in terms of tone and violence, Hobo with a Shotgun is the brutal, bitter and pissed-off counterpart to Machete. The overall cinematography and the gore effects are extremely well done, as are the performances of Rutger Haur Molly Dunsworth.
The movie seems to lose its voice halfway through, however, constantly crossing over from a campy fun action romp to a more serious, unfocused critique of being homeless in America.
