Review of Hobo with a Shotgun (2011) by John K — 26 Mar 2014
Hobo with a shotgun belong to the midnight movie / grindhouse type of films you could find during the 70's. violent, bloody, shot like a western with dialogues coming out straight of a Sergio Leone film, this film was indeed a great and excellent surprise.
Rugter Hauer finds here one of his best part in years. His charisma is obvious and the film holds on his strong shoulders. This is the kind of film you should definitely take on the second or third degree but if you do you'll appreciate how much efforts has been put in to actually make it look bad.
Thumbs up!
