Review of Hobo with a Shotgun (2007) by Edward B — 15 Sep 2012
Perfectly pays homage to 70's and 80's exploitation films and does it better that Planet Terror, Death Proof, and Machete because it doesn't rely on CGI effects or big stars (with the exception of Rutger Hauer who is perfectly cast as the hobo).
it succeeds in truly replicating the classic exploitation style of movies as opposed to merely paying homage to them. Hugely entertaining, fast paced, graphically violent, and fucked up. Its everything one would expect from the title and more.
Instantly one of my favorite films.
