"Hobo with A Shotgun" is ridiculously violent, unconscionably obscene, and thoroughly repulsive. In regards to grindhouse films, this is exactly what fans of the genre expect yielding respectable results.
A Hobo (Rutger Hauer) rides a train and jumps from a freight car, hoping for a fresh start in a new city. Instead, he finds himself trapped in an urban hell. This is a world where criminals rule the streets and Drake (Brian Downey), the city's crime boss, reigns supreme alongside his sadistic murderous sons, Slick & Ivan.
Hobo must enforce swift justice for the victims the best way he knows how - with a 20-gauge shotgun. Bloody mayhem ensues while Hobo is restoring order, saving lives, and protecting the future of mankind.
Fairly creative and highly recommended for grindhouse fans with a twisted sense of dark humor. A note worthy addition to the grindhouse genre that delivers on it's promise of over-the-top, unrelenting carnage.
