Review of Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows (1998) by Steve D — 20 Jun 2007
This movie is awsome. If you ever wanted to know what a caniving, backstabbing pile of donkey shit Vince McMahon can really be you need to see this film. It tells the story of how Bret Hart, a company man since the dawn of time, wanted one little favor.
He wanted to drop his belt in his own way. He wanted to go out on top, and head to WCW for more money and finish his career. What does Vince do? He fucks Bret over in such a way that to this day he can't go on live TV in Canada for fear of being mobbed and beaten to death.
And then you spew some shit the next night trying to make yourself look like the vicitm who was held up by a wrestler so you just had to do it. Bret gave you almost 20 years Vince. He was your go to guy.
He jobbed when he was supposed to he said and did all the right things. So you fuck him over on live PPV. You ruined the finish of a main event to get even with the talent that dared make one simple demand of you.
You are an unprofessional asswipe and instead of taking the fans into consideration you run your company like some masturbatory vanity project. Bret Hart is a hero for goin in that locker room after you took his belt and punching you in the fucking face.
When you told your sob story with a black eye the next week I couldn't help but feel for once you were put in your place. Bret Hart has every reason to be bitter to this day, and I think maybe if you weren't able to gloss over history on your shows the fans may still be bitter towards you like they should.
You are the worst promoter in the history of the business.
