Review of Hitman Hart: Wrestling with Shadows (1998) by Ian R — 27 Nov 2007
Such a great time capsule with the kind of backstage access never granted before or since. You can really get a sense of what Bret was going through during the infamous Montreal Screwjob. After reading his book, you get even more insight into the man and this takes on a whole new light.
This was the end of the "old style" pro wrestling and the beginning of the "new style." It's sad to see all the tragedies backstage (Owen, Davey Boy, Hawk, Rude, ) but touching to see a true good guy desperately trying to maintain his dignity in the face of a lying con-man.
