Review of Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) by Ourtimehascome — 02 Mar 2017
You'd think it would be easy to make an interesting film about a genetically engineered assassin being paid to take out targets with as little evidence as possible. But not even Aleksander Bach and Skip Woods can get a dumb premise like this right.
The premise makes 47 the antagonist at best, and Rupert Friend commits to the role of an uninterested 80's action hero. Except for this film, it is neither stylized enough to commit to proper tongue-in-cheek action.
It is merely a barely watchable, sub-standard John Wick, without anything which made the aforementioned film so popular among viewers.
