Review of Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) by Leo D — 21 Aug 2015
Continuing in the craze of video game film adaptations that are plain shit, comes Hitman: Agent 47. I'm going to be honest, I absolutely hated this movie. It had real potential to be something good, or something that's at least entertaining but this movie just misses the mark on everything.
The acting is really bad. Zachary Quinto may be good at playing the emotionless Spock, but he just falls flat in this movie as one of the main villains. He is not good at all and is terribly out of place in this movie.
The main guy who plays Agent 47 did an alright job I guess, but he's basically an emotionless robot, and he brings nothing cool or memorable to the character. I'm saying there's nothing special about him or any of the other characters.
They are all so dull and the writing is so terrible that you don't care about any of them throughout the entire movie, in fact all I did was think about how bad I wanted it to end. The story is stupid, the script by Skip Woods is terrible, I don't know why studios even hire him because he's such a bad writer.
This movie is directed poorly and put together poorly. There's no redeemable qualities to this movie, the actions not even that exciting, plus a lot of it is done with poor special effects shots that take you out of this already poorly made excuse for an action movie.
Nothing is interesting. The characters suck, the story sucks, the acting sucks, and the action is nothing special. For a second failed attempt at making a Hitman movie, this story is best left to the video game world and hopefully Duncan Jones' upcoming 'Warcraft' will save the genre.
