Review of Hitman (2007) by Neal P — 05 Jul 2011
People complain about Olyphants "dry acting", but anybody who has actually played the game this is based on, and knows the back-story behind the characters "creation", will also know that Olyphant played the part about as perfectly as possible. The only way he could have played it any more accurately, would have been if he'd had no dialogue at all, which of course, would not have worked in a film format.
As for the film itself, again, if you aren't a fan of the game, you won't understand it. Simple as that. Granted, I would rather they had followed one of the games more closely, but considering that they were also trying to make a movie for the masses, I think they did a fine job of adaptation.
