Review of Hitman (2007) by Don S — 10 Jul 2011

My son is the reason I watched this movie based on a series of video games. He rates this movie five stars. Of course, he is fully conversant in the games. I know nothing of the games. He gave me a bit of backstory that is not provided by the movie. I feel I should not have had to have someone telling me about it, it should have been in the movie. Someone going in without knowledge of the game or having someone who is coaching them through the movie will be somewhat lost. I still don't know why Agent 47 spurned the advances of the not unattractive Olga Kurylenko. Is he a eunuch? Lots of shooting action, little character development, and lots of unanswered questions. I liked it, but it could have been so much better with just a bit of explanation.
