Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Leonard E — 23 Nov 2013
This movie is infinitely better if you first watch the original 'Psycho' first and then watch this within a couple of days. This is a must-see for any serious or casual fan of Alfred Hitchcock.
Hopkins, Mirren, and ScarJo are excellent, and James D'Arcy's portrayal of Anthony Perkins (the original Norman Bates) is surreal. Might not be as interesting to people who aren't also fans of the film, and as the reviews say, it doesn't stand well on its own.
But if you liked Psycho, this will make you like it even more. Grade: B.
