Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Dom E — 11 Mar 2013
A delicious and insightful view into the master of suspense. This film exudes pedigree with Stirling performances by Antony Hopkins and Helen Mirren making the other actors and actresses hard to fault as the pale slightly! Brilliantly capturing, I'd imagine, the history of Psycho and indeed just when you think that's going to be the best part of it, particularly the scenes with Michael Wincott playing the murderous Ed Gein (not heard of him? Don't google it: wait for the film!) meddling with Hitch's mind, but also excellently reveals his relationship with Alma through and through.
