Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Dave C — 23 Mar 2013
Hitchcock is far from perfect and... the FILM I mean... covering only the making of Psycho, picks a short period of the director's life, but the performances of Hopkins and Mirren alone make it worthwhile.
It carries that image you might (if old enough) remember from his TV series to ludicrous extremes, but still seems to hold a least something of the real life relationship that allowed him to make the films.
I had no idea how much of the product was down to his wife, but I am sure she is not the only Hollywood woman passed of as simply "the wife".
Well worth seeing and I think it would be a good film for an at home evening too.
