Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Kris K — 29 Mar 2013
The story is entertaining enough, but it could have used a bit more depth as it ended up really focusing on the relationship with the wife and Whitfield Cook. It just dips a little bit into Psycho and the making of and the relationships with the cast, but it is only a taste with that taste leaving you wanting more of what doesn't come.
The acting is good all around, but it is hard to tell if Hitchcock was actually like that, or the performance was just over the top as it seemed. The make-up was a little funny on Hopkins, but it never went all the way into strange and distracting.
Overall it is an enjoyable watch and does have its share of great actors that make it worth the hour and a half.
