Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Christopher H — 01 May 2013
Wait, can you seriously not say Hitchcock in reviews? Heh...holy *bleep*.
Anyways, the film is really good...if not the slightest romanticized. While its clear that Alma Reville did have a HUGE impact on his career, alot of the movie seems to say that without her by his side, 'Hitch' was something of a bumbling tyrant, unable to make "Psycho" the masterpiece it was without her complete involvement. Is that the actual way Hitch made movies? Perhaps. I wasn't there, so who am I to say the story isn't true. However, it paints the great director in a way that does seem overly campy, but all in all, its still a fun movie that paints the icon in a unique, unseen way.
