Review of Hitchcock (2012) by Amit M — 11 Mar 2013
Yeah, this movie romanticizes Hitchcock and the troubled production of his masterpiece PSYCHO, but I loved every minute of it. In a film that boasts two equally talented, venerated and award-winning actors such as Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, there's the inevitable climactic scene in which they effortlessly outdo each other in chewing the scenery, and I have to declare Mirren the winner.
(Hopkins is left pouting, which would seem to to bear that out.) The way the shower scene plays out on screen at the end is beautifully done.
