Review of Hit & Run (2012) by Amanda H — 14 Sep 2012

I thought this movie Hit & Run would be really stupid and as it turns out it's wasn't. Don't get wrong this movie is not at all good, but it's not horrible either I think it's a good, entertaining Action Comedy that you should watch at least once.

Dax Shepard writes, co-directs and stars in this movie and he was pretty damn good and that's a big shock because I don't like Dax Shepard, I never thought he was funny or really talented, but in this film he gives you a few laughs and a decent performance.

His writing skills are not half bad either, the script was not perfect but it was alright. Kristen Bell also stars in this movie as his girlfriend and I thought that worked because there both dating in real life, so there chemistry in the film felt more realistic.

Kristen Bell's performance was also not half bad and again she's another actor/actress I don't like, but she did pretty good in this film. Bradley Cooper obviously steals the show with his performance.

He's funny, he's crazy and he's great to watch. It was also great to see Michael Rosenbaum in this movie, I haven't seen him in anything in a while, I loved in the TV show Smallville and I loved seeing him in this movie, I thought he played a great role as the crazy ex-boyfriend.

Now lastly we get to Tom Arnold and I think he was the only person in this movie that sucked. I wasn't really disappointed that Tom Arnold sucked because I'm not really a fan of him, but yeah in this movie Tom Arnold was just awful, his acting was weak and all his jokes fell flat.

So yeah the casting in this movie was pretty good besides Tom Arnold. Everyone did there job pretty well, but was this movie funny? Personally I didn't think this movie was all that funny, but I did laugh in quite a few scenes.

I don't think this movie was hilarious or anything, but I can tell it tried very hard, so I give it props for trying. All in all the movie Hit & Run is pretty good, the comedy is okay, the action is somewhat decent, the script is not bad and the acting is surprisingly good.

I don't think this movie will be winning any awards or being anyone's favorite, but I do think it's a movie you gotta watch at least once.
